Interstate Emergency Services has a highly trained maintenance
department that can handle the routine as well as the emergency situations that occur in
our business.
Our staff is just that, well trained and professional, from the mechanics that work on
the equipment to the supervisory staff. Supported by an advanced computer system a highly
organized preventive maintenance program and well stocked parts departments keep the
fleet in top shape and moving to serve our customers.
As we at Interstate Emergency Services, Inc. continue to grow the maintenance departments
are constantly updating our equipment, seeking knowledge and training in all the
latest technology.

One of the reasons our fleet stands out is our in-house Body Shop.
The Smith Transport Body Shop keeps a glass-like finish on the fleet at all times, and
the wreckers are always available to serve Smith as well as the public.
Keeping the fleet clean helps preserve the image of Interstate Emergency Services, Inc.
Every unit is thoroughly cleaned in a state-of-the-art wash bay. Over the past several
months there has been a lot of changes in the Wash Bay, first of which as the installation
of the two new overhead garage doors, which was followed by a curtain door that we had customed
designed and installed at the exit end of the wash bay. This curtain has two translucent
 panels sewn into it, which allow sunlight to better illuminate the front of the bay. This
has helped cut down the number of missed spots. Also we have installed a soap-mixing valve,
which helps greatly in conserving the amount of soap and helps to minimize streaking when
the trucks dry. In April we rebuilt our water softeners, which helped cut the soap
usage and helped reduce mineral deposits left behind on dry units. The two latest
improvements have been that we are now using a product called “Bug Off”. After a
week long test of this product, we found we would greatly increase the quality of
each wash while eliminating the amount of time spent just with a presoak of this
product. The other new item is a turbo style nozzle that we have installed on the
pressure washer gun. This, coupled with the use of hot-high pressure soap, has greatly
improved the quality of our degrease jobs.
The Smith Body Shop is a Napa AutoCare Collision Center. Meaning that we can perform
high quality repairs at a fair price, and maintain the highest standards of the automotive
service profession. We also uphold the integrity and reputation of the Napa Name thus
separating us from any competition.
We can handle car & truck repairs, and rebuild and collision repair. We are
also capable of doing all repairs from fender benders, and rollovers or complete rebuilds
and auto restorations.
